Qualitative Research on Supervisor Practice of Play-therapy Supervision Trainees

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the supervisor practice of play-therapy supervision trainees. For this purpose, this study was performed using interview and participant observation. The trainees¡¯ experiences can be categorized into four major findings. First, the trainees have experienced a feeling of obligation and anxiety because of confusion in the role of supervisor. Second, they expected that they could understand each other; however, they had difficulty in communicating properly. They, therefore, tried to find out various ways to improve communication skills. Third, supervisor trainees had a chance to reflect on themselves. Their reflection has been promoted in the class. Finally, their view of cases has been significantly changed. They come to understand the role of supervisor and the meaning of growth
as professionals.
